Honoring Little Hearts. Saving Young Lives.

The Delyth Arthur Foundation raises awareness of sudden cardiac conditions in children through education, advocacy, and community connection.

About Delyth

Delyth Arthur (affectionately called NANA) was a radiant 6 year-old whose laughter filled every room she entered. She loved painting, dancing in the kitchen, and asking questions that made us see the world through her eyes. In November 2024, our lives changed forever when Delyth passed away suddenly due to heart failure. It was later discovered that she had suffered from a rare form of myocarditis — an inflammation of the heart muscle that often goes undetected in children.

“Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle that can reduce the heart’s ability to pump and cause rapid or abnormal heart rhythms.”
— American Heart Association (AHA)

Understanding Myocarditis and Sudden Cardiac Conditions in Children

Myocarditis is a rare but serious condition that causes inflammation of the heart muscle, often triggered by viral infections. In children, it can be difficult to detect — symptoms may resemble a common cold or flu, and in some cases, there are no warning signs at all.

Community Outreach

Schools

We provide free heart health awareness kits, posters, and presentations to help educators and students recognize early signs of pediatric heart conditions & promote safer school environments.

Churches

We partner with faith-based communities to host memorial services, prayer circles, and heart health awareness events that offer comfort, education, and support for families.

Events

We host the annual “Delyth Day” Walk, CPR and AED workshops, and family support gatherings that raise awareness, honor lives, and bring communities together.

Shared Stories of Love and Loss

Stories remind us that we are not alone. This space is dedicated to families who choose to share their experiences, memories, and journeys with pediatric heart conditions.
