About Delyth

Delyth Arthur (affectionately called NANA) was a radiant 6 year-old whose laughter filled every room she entered. She loved painting, dancing in the kitchen, and asking questions that made us see the world through her eyes. In November 2024, our lives changed forever when Delyth passed away suddenly due to heart failure. It was later discovered that she had suffered from a rare form of myocarditis — an inflammation of the heart muscle that often goes undetected in children.

“Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle that can reduce the heart’s ability to pump and cause rapid or abnormal heart rhythms.” — American Heart Association (AHA)

The Delyth Arthur Foundation was born from our grief, our love, and our determination to ensure that other families don’t face the same heartbreak. Through advocacy, education, and community outreach, we honor Delyth’s memory by helping protect little hearts everywhere.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness of pediatric heart conditions, promote early cardiac screening, and provide education and resources to families, schools, churches, and communities. We strive to empower caregivers and community leaders with the information needed to recognize warning signs and take timely action.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every child has access to early heart health screening and where communities are equipped with the knowledge and tools to respond to cardiac emergencies. Our vision is a world in which no family faces the loss of a child due to an undetected heart condition.
